Exploration - West Africa - Manas enters the gold scene

Manas Resources has entered into agreements to acquire the rights to earn up to an 85% interest in the Gonsan Project and up to 80% of the Bouake Nord Project in Côte d’Ivoire. Gonsan comprises three exploration permits covering 1 000km². The land is 700km west-northwest of the capital, Abidjan, and near the border with Liberia, and it surrounds Endeavour Mining’s 2.9 million ounces Ity gold operation.

Location: Côte d’Ivoire
Resource: Gold

The Bouake Nord Project is a single exploration permit covering an area of 300km². It is 290km north of Abidjan and lies along the southern extension of the Honde greenstone belt, which hosts a number of operations across the border in Burkina Faso. According to Manas, all four licences are being processed by the authorities and should be granted shortly. Manas will earn its stakes in the projects through phased expenditure on exploration.
