Changing the face of mining

Soil for life

The Chairman’s Fund, one of the dedicated instruments used by Anglo American to channel its corporate social investment, has formed a partnership with the non-governmental organisation Soil for Life to increase food security in the Western Cape. Read more

Kumba cares

Kumba Iron Ore, a business unit of Anglo American, recently rewarded 280 learners from schools in four provinces for their hard work by presenting them with school bags loaded with stationery kits. Read more

MTE is celebrating its 21st birthday.

21 fantastic years

Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE) is celebrating its 21st birthday, having made a name for itself since 1993 through scores of shows at mines across South Africa and the continent beyond.

Since the dawning of the new South Africa, the mining industry has undergone massive transformation. MTE’s 21 years in operation bears proof of a successful adaptation to that transformation.
