New light shines in Thabazimbi

The board of ASX, AIM and JSE listed Ferrum Crescent, is investigating a number of new avenues to generate value for the company’s flagship Moonlight Project in the Limpopo province. Moonlight is a magnetite iron ore project, and it is Ferrum Crescent’s goal to produce a high-quality product that steel producers can use in blending. The project is located close to the Thabazimbi rail hub: the loading yard that has been used by Kumba’s Thabazimbi iron ore mine in the past. Kumba announced the closure of its Thabazimbi mine in July last year.

African Potash has applied for a renewal of their exploration licence over the 702.5km² Lac Dinga project area in the Kouilou region in the Republic of Congo (formerly Congo-Brazzaville). African Potash has a 70% interest in La Société des Potasses et des Mines S.A. (SPM), which holds the exclusive right to conduct exploration activities for potash salts in the Lac Dinga region.
